B.Lit Basics Crack the Code Flashcards build alphabet knowledge for early readers using evidence-based embedded picture mnemonics, a technique that has been proven to enhance retention and recall of letter-sound relationships. An embedded mnemonic is a keyword drawn in the shape of a letter to represent its sound. This set of mnemonics, along with plain letters displayed in black font, can be used to develop letter-sound recognition, letter naming fluency, and correct letter formation through explicit, systematic instruction and ample practice.
