Our “less is more” approach equips educators and parents with a simple, evidence-based solution that works faster and more effectively than the status quo.

A note from our founder:

I believe every child deserves to become a confident reader and writer as quickly and effectively as possible.

With over two decades of experience as an elementary teacher, literacy coordinator, tutor, and serial research grantee in New York City, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of children to read and write. By cutting out the clutter and focusing on what works, I've learned to deliver highly effective instruction across a wide range of learning profiles, accelerating progress.

Here’s the hard truth: most teacher preparation programs never taught how to teach reading using science and research. Many schools now rely on outdated methods or packaged programs that leave teachers fatigued and underprepared. Parents may not realize their child isn’t receiving quality instruction, and if they do, they’re often unsure how to fill the gaps.

This is why I created B.Lit. Our dry-erase workbooks are a simple, easy-to-implement solution designed to build practitioner knowledge while giving students engaged, focused practice that works. With B.Lit, parents and teachers can take literacy into their own hands-  bypassing systems that too often fall short.
