A note from our founder: 

With over two decades of experience as an elementary teacher, literacy support coordinator, tutor, and serial research grantee in New York City, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of children to read and write. By cutting out the clutter and focusing on what works, I've learned to deliver highly effective instruction across a wide range of learning profiles, accelerating progress.

Most teacher preparation programs do not equip educators with effective, research-based literacy instruction, making it challenging for those with limited time and resources to stay current with best practices. Additionally, many packaged programs fail to provide teachers with the essential knowledge needed to support students, especially struggling learners. I understand this challenge because I’ve been there. Teachers and parents who want to do more for their children often feel overwhelmed.

This is why I created B.Lit. Our resources are thoughtfully designed to be easy to implement, build practitioner knowledge, and engage learners—ensuring educators and caregivers can deliver the literacy instruction children deserve.
